I was in the market for a new ice rod back in December. Sent a quick email to TUCR with a request for a rod to mainly fish crappies and gills with an occasional walleye trip. Adam from TUCR replied and said he recommended the bullwhip, so I ordered one.

Shortly after this conversation with Adam IDO aired the episode in the ferguson falls area and James was using a bullwhip. Watching james fish this rod let me observe and confirm my decision on the bullwhip.

The rod showed up the other day and I have had a chance to use it. This thing is great! My main concern was it being too heavy for panfish but it’s not. If anyone is in the market for a noodle style rod, do yourself a favor and consider the bullwhip.

    Thanks Adam and TUCR staff!!!!

Certainly love mine. I have been using it for bluegill and crappie and the tip to backbone is perfect! Nice work by the guys at TUCR.

I don’t use it for walleye, I have other TUCR’s for that! I think I am a collector now.

It’s a pretty dang versatile rod. After watching James fish anything from tungsten to #4 Rippin’ Raps with it, I’ll say it’s a heck of a rod!
