Where the arrests truckers or protesters? Where the towed vehicles semi’s? Doesn’t really matter I’m just curious.

Pioneer press just came out with an article stating people that are vaxxed are now contributing more Covid infections than the non vaxxed in the state of Minnesota. I would post but pretty easy to find to see the numbers.
So how much sense does it make to make a mandate that has since been lifted that you must be vaxxed to enter a restaurant. Seems you are putting the most contagious group together in The same room.
I had Gullien Barre Syndrome about 3 years ago. Hospitalized for 4 months paralyzed for 2.
Was told by the top neurologist in the state not to get the shot because of what it could possibly to do MY body.So please those that are vaxxed please stay home. As you are spreading this more rapidly and may spread it to those like myself who are UNABLE to get vaxxed.
No you say?
Why?Sounds silly right.

Yes, your conclusions are very silly.
About 70% of eligible people are vaccinated, about 63.5% by population. Less than 70% of new cases are in the vaccinated. Therefore the vaccinated are less likely to be infected, not more.
It also says “Roughly a third of those who were hospitalized for COVID-19 or died during that month also were vaccinated.”. So, two thirds of the hospitalized or dead came from the 1/3 of the population that isn’t vaccinated.
It’s a good article to show the effectiveness of vaccines, thanks for mentioning it!

Most of the protesters are not truck drivers. There were three semis at the blockade, they moved once asked to do so by the police. There are multiple factions involved in this, most are not drivers.

A number of Facebook groups tied to American offshoots of Canada’s “Trucker Convoy” are being run by fake accounts tied to content mills from Vietnam, Bangladesh, Romania and several other countries, the company confirmed to NBC News on Friday.Elaborate please. I see no useful information here.
Only thing it proves to me, is these truckers have worldwide support from millions of people who haven’t even stepped up yet.
Look it up the article is in the Atlantic . The support for this in Canada is low, and they had a great quote, “never interrupt the enemy when they are making a mistake”, Napoleon

Just reporting what the news is reporting. That’s all.
Headline was litterally.
“Majority of MN COVID cases are now among the vaccinated. Here’s why the shot is still worth it.”Not anti Vax. Whole family is except myself and five year old. For the same reason. His specialist said the same.
Bottom line some can not or should not.
Don’t tell me that I have to or tell me I can and can’t do something because I took a shot or not.
Vaccines/medicine are not a one size fits all scenario.
Sorry but quite calling it a vaccine as it does not prevent transmission or infection.Back to your political banter.
February 14, 2022 at 8:02 am #2099365Was it like 3 days after the corporations started grumbling that this event ended? Kind of seems like the plebs are free to bicker about politics, ideology, etc until it starts to impact the big money.
DeucesPosts: 5236February 14, 2022 at 8:14 am #2099370Hows the hospital capacity been in Canada?
Since day 1 medical capacity was the main driver for slowing the curve. At a certain point that curve goes down where all the proactive steps become unneeded.

Dropping at the same rates as the states. Hospitals up here have had two years to shore up the medical system, they still claim it’s on the verge of collapse, when it’s not. Nurses and health care workers are burnt out and quitting.

Tindall, the event is far from ended.
The only spot that has been cleared was the Windsor crossing and this was mostly people blocking it. Not tractor/trailers. There are still a few border crossings closed and the event has only been gaining support since it started rolling on January 23rd.

Canada began from a worse position than in the United States. For example, pre-pandemic the US averaged 1 ICU bed per 4100 people, in Ontario they had 1 ICU bed per 6000 people – so they were much tighter and had a harder time with the sudden increase in demand for beds.
The cost is undoubtedly the impact on individual liberty and business revenue, where the payoff is that Canada has done better than the United States for protecting lives. Per Johns Hopkins University, United States is 253 deaths per 100k, Canada is 81 deaths per 100k.
Canada’s broad culture is more willing to put the needs of the group before the wishes of the individual. In the United States both law and culture very much emphasize the liberty of the individual ahead of the group. A consequence is that it’s been harder to slow the spread of disease and reduce deaths here.
February 14, 2022 at 10:55 am #2099441Canada also has a much lower obesity rate than the US.. 26% compared to 42%. There are many more factors beside where they put their needs.
You know who we should be looking at is China.. They only have 4600 deaths?? Why is that ?

Are you sure they can count? Could be they don’t lump natural death, murder, accidents & sickness into the Covid pot. Or maybe, they got it exported before it did any real damage.

Not a chance those numbers are accurate with China. I wouldn’t believe a word coming out of Russia either.
February 14, 2022 at 11:40 am #2099456Not many around the world believe a word coming out of the US either.

Why would they. Fauci has been caught up in tons and tons of lies with the covid crap. Went from saying it was for the greater good to basically a complete sh!! Show money grab.

I’ve been doing absolutely opposite since day one and so have the ones around me. We have the same results. Wild how that works. Im downtown daily in and out of jobs and around different people all day.
Crazy how we have the same exact resultFebruary 14, 2022 at 12:26 pm #2099481I’ve been following Fauci’s recommendations and so have the people around me. Zero hospitalizations, zero deaths, zero severe sickness. Batting a 1000.
At one point he said we should be double-masking. Did you do that too?
Half the people I see wearing a mask don’t even do it properly. The only mask that really does what its supposed to is a tight fitting N95 or KN95 mask, which is why the health care field primarily only uses those versions.

Folks who want to dig more into Faucis long history this is a good start.
February 14, 2022 at 1:09 pm #2099505According to the Star Tribune:
The province of Ontario, Canada’s most populous province, is dropping proof of vaccination requirements starting March 1.
In other developments, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said they arrested 11 people at the U.S. border crossing at Coutts, Alberta, after learning of a cache of guns and ammunition. Demonstrators in trucks and other vehicles have been blocking that crossing since late January.
Police said a small group within the protest was said to have a “willingness to use force against the police if any attempts were made to disrupt the blockade.” Authorities seized 13 long guns, handguns, sets of body armor, a machete, a large quantity of ammunition and high-capacity magazines.
February 14, 2022 at 1:25 pm #2099509shooting the messenger isn’t a very sophisticated strategy, but hey if it works for you…
for me, i go mask free everywhere except where it’s required. i’m vaccinated and boosted and so is my family, so if someone isn’t vaccinated at this point? frankly, i don’t care about you enough for it to inconvenience me any longer. i hope you don’t die, but that’s on you.
at the same time, wearing a mask where required such as all day at work for me in a congregate setting is no big deal. it’s a mask, it’s literally nothing. and turning masks into an all-or-nothing conversation is without nuance (ie., claiming that cloth masks don’t work therefore masking is useless). as in everything, there’s a range of benefit.

mojogunterPosts: 3301February 14, 2022 at 1:46 pm #2099525Fauci became Larry Kramer’s doctor and later treated him. There is a story in the New York Times about it but I can’t post a link to it or my post gets dusted.
