I do it as well. Some drive thru’s are impossible to get through though. Gotta be careful

I tried many years ago…had a bad experience catching the trailer wheel along the curb. Once you’re in, you’re in. No backing out.

I do it multiple times a week with my lawn care trailer. I see no issues with it.

I should add though, I know what places my truck and trailer will fit into with no issues.

It’s like something went around on Facebook that got a bunch of soccer moms all whipped up about trailers in drive-throughs being the greatest travesty in the Western World. I’d never heard about this being a problem, and now this thread is the second time I’ve heard of it in about a month.

Not sure what the deal is with this. Personally, I never take a trailer through a drive through unless I’ve been to that place many times before and know I can get through the layout. Back in high school, I worked at a tourist fast food stop off spot on I35 that had a notorious boxed in drive-through with curbs on both sides and a tight turn. Man, I saw some cluster jobs on that on even though there were 2 signs that warned no trailers. Convinced me the better part of drive-through valor is discretion.

I used to do it occasionally when there was little traffic. Now my boats windshield is about a foot higher than the top of my truck I usually don’t bother trying. The notion that it clogs up the drive through is ridiculous. If there something going around social media about it, I might have to test the waters whistling

I too like to hit the drive thru ……with my truck & boat trailer……once in a while I get a weird look but I always get my order. Only comment I’ve heard is the drive thru gal said the trailer comes up as another vehicle so she wasn’t sure if her orders & vehicles lined up with the extra ding

Can’t understand how it would make it take any longer. As far as the business is concerned I would assume they’ve want as many customers as possible. Really like the idea of someone riding in the boat ordering sounds hilarious.

I think it’d be a time advantage, actually. I’d choose to get in the line with the boat/trailer, just like I’ll choose the merging lane on the interstate with a long truck or 2. doah
