I’m looking to get a leveling kit and some new tires/rims for my truck. Anybody have a recommendation for a place that they liked?

I’d find anything and everything that will void your warranty and cross that off the list (if you’re talking about big tires, wheel spacing, or anything beyond the simplest leveling kit).

Also keep in-mind that there are documented issues with the “hill assist” feature not working well after altering with the vehicle’s stance and tire size. You’ll also need a front end alignment after as well.

Some companies will do the work thru the dealer to keep your warranty alive. I know waldoch does that kind of work.

I put a Rough Country leveling kit on my 2013 Silverado about a year after I bought it so I could fit 285’s. No issues to date. The tire place that installed it is no longer in business so I can’t recommend an installer but getting a proper alignment afterwards is crucial.

Careful with leveling kits. Unless you enjoy replacing ball joints as regular maintenance.

I own a stock 2015 2500hd. A friend of mine bought the same truck and had the dealer put a leveling kit and bigger tires on. Rides much rougher.

I have done regular leveling kits to several of my trucks. 2014 GMC 1500, and a 2016 both with no issues. Do a normal leveling kit with a reputal dealer or aftermarket shop and it does not void the waranty nor does it affect the drive train. Now bigger tires will affect ball joints etc.. but if not way larger it is not an issue. 2014 has 150K on it with no issues the 2016 is a Denali and the leveling kit does not affect the computerized ride. It does give the truck a bit more of an agressive stance but also allows for decent tires that work way better in snow. I have done this on many trucks and cannot say I have had an issue on any GMC now my 1 tone Dodge is another story. The 2012 Dodge Quad cab diesel has a leveling kit in it and I have put 2 full new upper and lower ball joint replacemnts in it in 80K, but enough said it is a Dodge. Great work truck but with lower inital cost than a GMC you get what you pay for. You pay for it up front or in the long run.

There’s nothing worse looking than a truck sagging in the rear. Keep it stock. If u actually use your truck for hauling/ towing it will ride level

If you end up leveling make sure your shock length is correct or replace with appropriate length shock. This will help the ride out a ton beings when you level it can put your shocks out of there sweet spot in performance.
