Broke In New “Grandt” Fly Rod

    Went out specifically looking for a wind sheltered area to break in my new fly rod.

    Needed easy casting and an easy fix. Thought brookies were the way to go.

    I used Kurth’s UV Stone and Goetsch’s Pretty in Pink bead headed nymphs.

    The brookies were eager and I am happy to report that NO GILL LICE in this stream in

    Southern Richland County.

    22 to hand in 1.5 hours nothing big.
