Every spring I hear the same nonsense from “expert” trout anglers. They say use tiny stuff that the trout are use to see in their environment throughout the winter. The trout will not move for that tiny stuff unless it is placed on the end of its nose. The amount of calories for the effort made to track it down the meal is in effect.
Put something big on and dredge the bottom or stay home.
The proof is in the pudding.
The deepest hole in the area with the slowest current. That should be the ticket along with nothing smaller than a size 10.
