I made friends with Brian on a hunting website.

We fished yesterday. Brian brought along his wife Diana.
“She had never trout fished before”

The morning started on brown trout water at about 8am in Crawford County.

Diana caught 5 browns to Brian’s 1 brown.

The open faced spinning rod was a mystery to Diana at first but she became quite good with it by the end of the day. We used panther martins for the browns.

We chased brookies after lunch with night crawlers. Diana and Brian caught the same amount of brookies.

They took home 6 trout to grill.

We stopped at the apple orchard in Gays Mills.

They took home 2 big bags of apples and some apple donuts to their three kids at home.

    Honey Crisps and Macintoshs.

“The three kids checked in on the anglers via cellphone a couple times”

I have never seen a husband and wife team enjoy fishing so much together.

Husbands and wives that fish together are a rare occurrence indeed.

That’s because if they are like my wife, they out fish us every time! But she is still allowed to come along, but no pole in the water till I get a head start!
