    Have you ever walked up to hole and not fished it. Decided from afar it didn’t warrant your attention and the hole erupted with fish as you blindly walked up to it?

    The next day I fished this hole and caught the minimum of a dozen good sized brookies here.

    This was a tricky hole. Kneeling to cut down on your silhouette and casting upstream and feeding it under the snag was tedious . You must not allow any slack in your line on a hook up or the trout will dive directly back in to the snag. Getting the head up immediately is key

    Not much of a looker when it comes to holes but this hole produced a tiger trout on plum creek.

    Some people look at this photo and turn up their noses and think the erosion makes the stretch a poor
    place to fish. I see the banks the way nature made it and the logs put there by nature as a potential big
    trout home. No bank grooming needed here.
