I just got into fly fishing for trout and have had pretty good luck the last 2 days. I have been using dry flies and a panther martin spinner, most of my fish coming on the fly. But I have noticed the bite is really consistent from 3:45 until 5:30 where the fish eat almost every time and are surfacing a lot. But after that the bite gets really slow. Are there any ways to get more bites during the time they are really going or when the bite is really slow. Most of my fish have come from fishing current edges of long and deep pools and a few in rapids into tiny 2.5 foot pools.
