I took my boat out for preseason check this morning
Trolling motor only seems to be running at 1/2 speed. I have a 24v system.
On board charger showed full charge. Both batteries are connected. I did have some front wires chewed by mice over the winter. I double wrapped the spots in electrical tape. Interstate batteries brand new two years ago. I should probably run tests on batteries but like I said on board charger showed full
    Thank you

have the batteries tested as you suggested.
the problem with digital chargers is that most do not have the ability to detect the batteries state of full AMPERAGE capacity,in other words,if the charger see’s twelve volts and some change,it thinks its charged and will show it as such, but, the battery may not be at full charge amperage wise.

I mentioned in another thread about having chargers checked for A/C voltage pollution when a chargers diodes fail, this will kill a battery in short order.
take your charger to an electrical repair shop and have it checked as well.

it could be that your also fighting an issue in your motors circuitry as well, hopefully its something simple for you.
let us know and good luck!!
