Nobody gets it do what the cops tell you to do and things will be ok. Every POS that has been shot has disobeyed the direct orders from the cops. Give respect you get respect. It’s not a color thing either so far in 2020 whites shot 215, blacks 111.

I think that anyone who kills someone should have to Justify it in court just like you or I would have to. No more, no less. We can’t have a situation where law enforcement can kill someone just because they don’t follow a directive. Wisconsin doesn’t have the death penalty. When I took my concealed carry class fifteen years ago, I understood that rule NUMBER ONE is don’t ever shoot anyone. Rule two is if you do shoot someone be prepared to be able to prove it to the court! Rule three is go back to rule one. It’s THAT serious.

I dont know if the numbers above are correct. If they are correct, wouldn’t that prove that blacks get shot more often, because i believe the US population is 76% white and 13% black. At least that is how my math works.

“Do what your told and you won’t get shot.”

When did “Protect and Serve” turn into “Obey or get Shot?” This is what you tell prisoners and slaves. Not free people. I was under the mistaken impression that the police work for me.

Also, I dug up just a few of the people who would probably like to disagree with the idea that all you have to do is obey and you won’t get shot. But they can’t. Cause they’re dead. Shot dead while while complying… (Well not exactly. A few of them were asleep in bed.)

    Duncan Lemp
    Ryan Whitaker
    Sean Monterrosa

    These people were *only* shot

I’d like to see the “Obey and you won’t get shot.” crew watch the following video and then repeat that phrase again with a straight face.

Warning. The following video not for the feint of heart.

police shootings don’t correlate with percentage of population, but instead more closely with percentage of crime committed by each segment of the population. Commit more crime, have more run ins with police, more chance for bad results. Kind of common sense actually

That video says it all ! Yet a certain group continue the fallacy obey and they the “cop” will not kill you . The minimizing of this kind of behavior is indeed the systemic racism going on in our country! Then the group is appalled when the riots begin ? When cops stop doing this kind of BS the riots stop . Its high time for policy change to make these murders by cops stop.

When the riots stop in those areas will the rampant crimes that plague those areas stop also?

No. I live in north Minneapolis and since the riots there has been very little police presence, traffic law enforcement was taken away years ago bc it was “racist”, and crime is as bad as it’s ever been, and stop signs/lights are skipped regularly with people going 50 down 30 every other time Im out. It’s a myth the progressive mindset wants you to think.

Since many want to go after the police unions maybe we should just say F it and go after the teachers union as well. Beyond all the other junk going on, last night people rioting bc of rumors seems to be a complete lack of foresight on how to teach kids to filter media, and since public education system is to teach kids to be put productive members of society let’s have that discussion too.

I’ve been to Kenosha. Sure there’s some sketchy areas and issues, but it’s not exactly rampant crimes in daylight. It’s not any different than a lot of good sized cities. People need to turn off FAUX News once in awhile.

Don it seems to me in MPLS the mobs got what they wanted this summer. Less police. Now the people are shooting each other. Is this what they want? The freedom to murder each other and commit crimes at will. And last night sure showed they are not even happy with that. Maybe its time for things to swing the other way. Armed patrols in military vehicles on stationed on the streets in MPLS with larger forces nearby on standby.

Again how did city officials not see this coming yesterday? Did they think these activities where done for the city this summer? They sure had cameras enough to follow the individual that started this. How could they not detect a large group of people forming? Again the mayor and chief of police had nice speeches yesterday.

A question I have (as I’m trying to hold back from judgements until more details come out):

Why wouldn’t you tackle the guy walking AWAY from you in front of the car? It isn’t exactly challenging to tackle someone from behind who isn’t listening and has their back to you. My football playing years are behind me, but that guy would still be an easy solo tackle.

Less law enforcement presence equals more people willing to commit crimes. That is a simple concept. Even a dumb ass criminal can figure out that if there are less cops around, its easier to not get caught. The city of Minneapolis wants less police. Therefore, more crimes will continue. You reap what you sow, people.

We need police reform. Not police removal.

I’m pretty sure the cop in the video reacted to the guy’s reaching back [1:28 in the video] around while he was nearing the officer. Color doesn’t matter here…if you have a gun pointed at you, don’t do anything that might suggest you’re reaching for one yourself.

He had already been tackled to the ground and tased on the otherside of the vehicle, he managed to get up from that proceed around the vehicle and then appears to be reaching down low for something. Non lethal methods were attempted, he still refused to be arrested for his felony warrant and made further escalating decisions that got him shot.

He committed a crime. Why not shoot him dead in the street, as so many others are advocating to do to ‘thugs’ in this thread?

I don’t think anyone would have a problem with that!…and we probably won’t riot and loot over his death.

3 people with training, tasers, etc and they can’t keep a guy from getting away and then proceeding to his car at a walking pace? Perhaps we should report on where their training was received.

Give me any 2 posters here and I bet we can keep someone down, or at least tackle them from behind when they’re walking away disobeying and not even looking.

Anyone can pick up a gun and shoot someone in the back , no special training involved in that !

Whoa whoa, that’s definitely not true. I know several people who wouldn’t know how to even properly load ammo into a handgun much less shoot one accurately.

Im a small guy, 5’7″ 130lbs and I’ll take your bet. Last time somebody tried, (fun at work) it took 5 grown men to get my head in a mop bucket! They were quite surprised and I bet you’d be too if you were in those officer’s shoes.
Not everyone is a push over and police know that. Going after someone in the manner which you seem to think is easy could be the last thing that father, mother, husband, wife, friend, and police officer does. Especially when facing a dangerous felon with a violent past.

Because that would require me to do violence against otherwise peaceful people. Would you take an oath to do violence against peaceful people? Would you take an oath to do the bidding of politicians for money? Who would do that?

A better question would for those people in support violence against peaceful people, why aren’t you suiting up? You want to threaten business into closing over a virus? Armor up. You wan’t to threaten people into wearing a mask? Armor up. You wan’t to threaten people into wear a seat belt? Armor up. You wan’t to threaten people who shoot a spike buck? Armor up. You wan’t to control what other people can and can’t put into their own bodies? Armor up. Let’s see you kick in a few doors at 2am.

But no. Most people like that are happy to sit on their couch and have others do the threats and violence for them.

No, they are violent thugs too. Just of a different kind. Please re-read my post to find examples of actual peaceful people.
