Put out a brand new trophy rock in the same spot as I have the past 2 years… Went out there and its gone.. Not even a trace.. the past 2 years I have use 2 rocks per year (Growing Season) . so they have usually have lasted about 2 months plus or minus each.. Now it is gone. Wasn’t in a huge hurry to run a camera over it yet.. so I have no photos to check. (dumb) roll

Excessive rain?? I dunno most of the deer are still up by there wintering area and haven’t settled into my place yet. Maybe a SQUACH took it? HAHA

I have heard of guys having this same thing happen. One guy had video of a coon using a rock to break it up then hauling chunks of it away. Bears will sometimes take them too. Any bears in the area? I doubt rain, mine will last most of the summer in open places with plenty of rain.

No bears.. but plenty of coons.. but not really any more than the last couple years…

Maybe the neighbor lady packed it up and took it? Maybe she didnt like the off season feeder and trophy rocks 30 ft from her property line??? haha

I gunna get a another one out there asap, along with a blackout Covert camera and see if I can figure it out..

I had a neighbor empty my feeder once. As soon as I emailed her the picture of her doing it, I never saw a trace of her, not even a reply email. The joys of 601…You may be onto something with the nuisance neighbor comment!

That’s a bummer. I like the idea of a cam to see what’s going on, but if the trophy rock really was stolen by somebody, the cam could go missing as well. If you can hide or secure the cam in a security box, it could reveal what’s going on. But with a deal like this where somebody might be snooping around, I wouldn’t risk a high dollar cam.

I have to think if it’s a person messing around, they will periodically revisit the site where they “found something” before and you’ll get a picture.

I’d also be tempted to switch to a granular or powder mix for this site. Even if it’s not a two-legged thief, coons or whatever can’t carry off a pile of powder.
