I am new at leaded line fishing. I have my rod and reel set up with 15 feet of monofilament leader attached to my leaded line. Question: Do I attach my lure to that leader or do I attach a small snap swivel and then a shorter leader to that? Any help would be appreciated.
I don’t know if it’s proper or not for the purists but I use a snap swivel for the ease of switching out lures. (I think most do)
I run a small barrel swivel from the lead core to the mono and then a stay lock snap at the end of the mono for switching out baits. So Lead core to swivel. tie monofilament leader to swivel. tie a snap to end of monofilament leader.
