I know it’s the off season. But found a deal on a minnkota. I have an early 90’s smokercraft king troller. Does only one have one that they could measure the shaft lenght for bow mounted one. Yes I know how to measure to the water line. Thanks

What’s the length of the one you found a deal on? 54″, which is a pretty common length, will work on just about anything but the very deepest of boats, usually over 22′.

Are you worried about it being too long or to short? It can’t really be too long , they can be cut down , or just adjust it to the right depth. Can’t help with the minimum length for that boat

High sided boats or if you fish in white caps you will require a 54-60″ shaft. Bassboats need a 45″ shaft.

Bought a 60″ on an older Warrior this spring and I’m glad I did. Really depends on where you want to fish. Unless you plan to spend time on bigger water, the 54″ will be fine. IF you EVER want to get a little deeper boat and hold onto the trolling motor, the extra length will be available.
