Would like to purchase a minn kota bow mount trolling motor for my harris 200 pontoon boat. Would anyone know what shaft length I would need?

    Thanks

How far is the deck off the water? Tritoon? What model trolling motor do you want? I had a 60″ terrova on my pontoon and it was over kill, just put a 45″ ulterra on. Still in the water enough for my twin toon. I would have loved a 50-54″ model, but didn’t want to mess with the riptide version.

My Ulterra has a trim feature so I can raise or lower prop depth as needed. On a pontoon, almost any shaft length would work.

Except if you and especially your wife doesn’t want it hanging into the pontoon 5 or 6 feet when it is stowed.

The alternative sticking straight up in the air looks hideous unless your pontoon is strictly for fishing and nobody cares what it looks like. Here’s my setup.
