My co-worker has a 55lb Minn Kota. His trolling motor turns on but doesn’t run when he is on the water. When he takes it home, it works fine. He said batteries are good etc. Any ideas what might be the issue?
You do not say if he has it horizontal or vertical at home but it sure sounds like just a loose wire on the in side. It has happen to me.
what kind of motor? powerdrive ipilot? every once in awhile i have to unplug and plug back into the powersource to “reset” it; also make sure his software is up to date if it is indeed a ipilot model, that seemed to help
Works dry but not wet, sounds like a short.
