Just wanted to see if anyone has had the same issue in the past.

When I run my motor on high I have noticed a kind of clicking sound. Motor works great just makes that noise. I am hoping it is just a minor problem. Any thoughts on this I would appreciate the insight.

I am not sure if this spooks fish but I am guessing it can’t help with that.

‘ll bet it does spook fish. I have never had a clicking noise in my motors.
Get it checked out by a repair shop.

Prop a little loose? Have had this happen on my Motorguide on high – try snugging it up a bit more. As long as you’re messing with the prop, pull it off and check for fishing line, etc.

Take the prop off and run the motor to make sure the shaft is not bent. If not then it could be a bearing issue, not that big of deal to take motor apart should be two bolts and the armature will slide out. If you take it apart great time to inspect the bushes. Minn Kota parts can be found at a decent price online and the illustrated parts catalog will show how it comes apart and goes together. I had the same thing on an 80lbs Terrova and the armature shaft was bent. Good luck many YouTube vids also

Thanks for the feedback I will remove the prop and see what is going on in there.

Tight lines the rest of open water season!!

If you have a spare prop you could also try swapping props.

Do you have a transducer mounted on it? I’ve had the transducer cable loosen up slightly and given just enough movement that it gets pushed back into the prop at higher speeds. Made a clicking noise as well.

Thanks for all the feedback. I took off the prop (very simple) and there was grass in there. Cleaned it out and that eliminated the noise. Tight lines to all as the fall bite heats up.
