Trolling Bottom Bouncers and Offshore Boards

Yesterday morning i was pulling 2oz bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses behind the standard size offshore boards. I caught 9 walleyes and the majority of these came on the planer board rods.

My boards have tattle flags and all but 1 of these fish didnt pull the flag down at all. I only noticed the fish when reeling in and checking lines for weeds.

The spring is in the lowest tension setting (highest point on the board and lowest point on the flag), the screw on the flags arent binding the flags, and i had slack line between the clips.

These were 17-19″ fish so not dinks. I dont use boards a lot but is it common to catch fish without the flags moving with bottom bouncers?

never used the flag type. but boards without flags its pretty easy to see the boards not gliding through the water like normal when a fish was on. especially with 17-19″ fish i would think that would be pretty easy to tell a fish is on one of them ???
