So who else was out fishing Tues? It was freakin brutal out there; high, high humidity, no wind at all, and 98 degrees or so. Plus, the fish just did not cooperate either, making it even more brutal. Oh well, I’ll be out and about the next couple of days, so we’ll see if things change. Better than sittin in the a/c at home, right?

Ya Matt, but at least you’re not at work, like I’m headed back to tomorrow! It was damn hot out there this week on the lake, too bad the fishing didn’t match.

I did hit Jeffrey Res Wed and fished for only about 25 minutes and had two nice wipers and a crappie. Hit it again Thur and struggled all day. Sitting on the lake front lawn of my buddy’s cabin sure was nice though, so it was worth it.

I also forgot to mention that I found it interesting that at both the public and cabin owners’ boat ramps they have a sign posted about how to help stop invasive species from coming to our waters. I find it interesting because a sign is posted there (which is a great sign and a better idea), but not at places like Johnson, Elwood, or other canal lakes (that I’ve seen, anyway). I’ll try to pay more attention when I visit these other places next.

I do believe that when these species get here, they’ll come from the west. Just makes sense. Unfortunately, I do also believe it’s only a matter of time. Doesn’t mean I’ll stop doing my part, but I do think it’s inevitable.
