Yup, it sure was. I think since the water dropped all the way down to 38 degrees, the fish just moved from where I had been catching them. I didn’t really try too hard to find em either, but I did look around on some ledges and couldn’t really find anything…until I hit the south part of the lake. The wind was out of the south all day, but on the south part of the lake, the shad was so thick at times, my graph thought it was 15′ deep instead of 30′. There were some fish feeding on them, but nothing really on the bottom or on the shelves. Besides, it was almost dark, and pretty chilly, so I just headed in. Only caught three crappie and one white bass, so at least it wasn’t a total loss. Was gonna winterize tomorrow, but I see next week it’s supposed to be nice again….so who knows, I might make it out again!
