It’s about time we got this Nebraska board fired up here.
We made it out today and struggled for a while to find any fish, but when we did finally find em, it was game on. Between Jake and me, we counted about 120 crappies. They were really color and bait specific too, like they commonly are this time of year, and were very tight to cover. Lots of smaller crappies as we struggled to find any larger ones, but still a great first outing for the year. My buddy Bruce added 10 more crappies, and my dad had around the same. We also caught 5-6 gills, including this nicer one from my dad. Picture didn’t turn out as well as I had hoped, but it was probably the fish of the day, comparatively. Was just great finding places out of the wind, catching fish, and putting on the sunblock. Not bad for early March.
