Seeking experience using a Tribal Guide.

The land i prairie dog hunt has dried up.
Had 5,000+ acres that were poisoned. Last year i gained access to another 3,000 acres nearby last year that was loaded. I expected good shooting for many years to come.

Turns out the past year that land was poisoned, and what wasn’t poisoned the plague wiped out.

SO, this years trip was basically a royal bust! Quite the heartbreaker to say the least. Ranchers on the other hand, ecstatic.

We sought out some more private land in the local area which has some competition from other hunters, but that is a future option. Albeit none of them as large of tracks of land.

However, the vast majority of the land in this area is not deeded. The tribal lands have massive amounts of prairie dogs.

So, do you have experience using a tribal guide for a prairie dog shoot?
My gut says to RUN from a tribal guide, but doesn’t hurt to ask.

    We’re in SD, Rosebud Tribe.

    Thanks,
    Andy

I am not sure about a tribal guide. But I know of some private opened up to public hunting that is choked full of them.
I bring up this ground because it isn’t far from the Rosebud reservation.
It’s just west of the town of White river.
