Hey folks. I’m gonna me making a fall walleye trip up on the river. I was just wondering how the bits are at these two dams in the winter? Not looking for huge fish, just wanna get on some walleyes and saugers.

Genoa will always have better numbers of bigger fish, but Tremp is 2 pools up from Genoa, and usually less weedy, unless you’re coming late fall. You can catch good numbers at trempealeau with enough keepers mixed in, but Genoa is almost always better average size.

Any update on the bite at these two locations? Possibly gonna make a trip either this week or next week.

Water is still aboutt a foot and a half above normal. If it were me, it would be Genoa for sure. Way more options in high water.
