in todays world national security is less important then men’s right to compete in women’s sports.

Because the media is largely made up of boneheads and then boneheads read the crap and listen to it.

Any American other than military going to these countries should be left to take care of themselves, especially these media idiots that go there to drum up ratings back here.

They (the US government) were looking for a journalist Syria snatched 20 years ago. Instead they stumbled upon this guy. Should just left him there.

I’ve only passively followed this, but did we really go get him or was he just found? Wasn’t he just discovered by the Rebels and then turned over to US authorities “in the region?”

We didn’t really risk any lives to get him back did we? Like a raid?

I could be missing something, like I said, I haven’t been following this one that closely.

But I’m sure we’re in there mopping up some targets in the absence of power, that only makes sense.

You are correct. There was no “raid”, etc. rebels found him in a prison and he was taken in by a Syrian family to protect and care for him until he could be brought home. No raids. No special ops, on and on. Another reason not to get your news off FB etc.

Got me on that one.

Never even heard of the guy. But I don’t really look at the news much, always seems to be bad news and most the time has 0 effect on my life. But on the other hand was able to get out local this morning and the bite was pretty alright.
