Who’s looking forward to setting some steel? I myself can’t wait. Hopefully tag out early in bow season and trap hard all season.

Pulled a fischer tag in WI. Have a friend who is going to mentor me. Never done this before. I’ve seen them while bow hunting in my area. Some small ponds around. Is it best to set up near the water or on trails between ponds?

We have an unusual increase in coyotes by us. My limited time will be focused on 7 packs of of field mutts

Family has 1k acres up by me with a serious beaver problem. I’ll run beavers early season through early ice. Once it cools down I’ll set for coyotes too. Might as well! I end up with bobcats, fox, and fisher in my coyote sets too.

Ive had had luck along tree lines that boarder swamp edges . Beaver meat and loud skunky lures seem to work well. Good luck.
