Heading out of Trappers Landing Friday after noon and fishing the weekend. We will be sleeping in a double hub house and will be fishing outside with the striker suits most of the day (so mobility is not a problem). Any advice, tips, or even spots to start would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kam

I started right in front of Chase and got my limit of Nice Perch. Some over 13 inches.

It’s supposed to be 38° on Saturday, the striker suit might be too much!!

I’ll be just west of leech enjoying the weekend on the ice.

I haven’t fished there recently, but there is plenty of great structure in a short drive out from the Trapper’s landing (no pun intended). Leech is tough to stay on the bite during the day, so I’d plan on staying on the move or fishing perch or pike.

Agree on the tough day bite Kory, I’ve done best staying overnight and fishing the evening/morning bite and leaving at around 9:00am and heading to a smaller lake.

I had a limit of Walleye with more to spare. After about 3 the perch quit off and the eyes rolled in. Hope it helps just shoot me with questions.

13-19 I drilled holes shallow and deeper on the break. !3 was great for the perch. Its a game of keep away from the small ones so the big ones can take it. I caught one walleye in the day while perch fishing. Later my tip up went off in 18-19 feet so I moved there and stayed there the rest of the night and got some more walleyes.
