Catch rates in the cold?

My numbers have went rock bottom with this early cold causeing freeze up in our small creeks here. Here is the issue…I am in farm country few trees big enough to den in with lots of small brushy creeks. I m already running into issues with freeze up and with the forcasted lows it is time to pull all water sets. Any tips or tricks to look into for my next step? I am set up on a abandoned farm site an the catch rate there is minimal as well. Thinking it is time to crack out the coyote snares!
