I know it is a pretty touchy subject to some but what are everyone feelings on this set. I am fairly new to the trapping game and plan to run 6-8 sets this year for a hobby around the area an this set looks pretty simple to me. Any thoughts or ideas?

You may want to look at the new regulations when it comes to bucket sets. With the new rules makes the set pointless.

I actually was looking at previous post and realized I had made a post a few years back on this subject……any other basic sets for a rather novice trapper? I noticed one with a tile line and see through back and thought maybe have it offset 7″ would still get them wandering in or not so much?

Go get yourself some D.Ps. I like Lill Grizz or Z traps. Both are good traps. They very fast to set, real easy to use and are very affective. They cost some money but keep in mind you catch 1 coon and that trap is payed for.

The one thing I liked about conibears was the coon is d.o.a. What is the prefered way to finish off a coon when it is cuffed? Sorry for all the questions guys

I have a 220 rigged on a pole for placing it on them like a necklace…or the good ‘ol .22

A 22 works good. Keeping in mined to not put to many holes in the hide. You are allowed 5 holes in a coon hide the same size as a 22 hole. The holes can be individual or all next to each other (about the size of a quarter) before you get down graded on the fur. Not that you want that many holes.
