I’m cleaning up a minor pest problem on a property about 10 miles from me. I did some work for these guys last year and they invited me to trap. This is the view I always dreamed about having for a back yard…Kudos to this family for creating such a paradise! This is all man made.
Pic #4 is a dead buck I spotted in the water along the shoreline to the left…poor ending for this small 10pnt. The driveway is about 1/2 mile long and is an incredible view – wow. Hard to believe this is just off the interstate and just outside of town!

Something tells me that isn’t the only muskrat den. With water that clear finding most of them could be easy. You going to walk it Randy or use a canoe, eighter way you should do good.

I scouted the entire property by foot. Too pristine to drive the truck or ATV it. Their dad had great forresight when making the ponds. They did a huge back fill of breaker stone along the shorelines. I have no idea how someone could afford a project of this magnitude. Not as many rats as I thought. Many are “commuting” to a near by creek that runs through a neighboring property. Also all the beaver sign is very old. Have a feeling someone took care of their problems via rifle earlier in the season. Couldn’t find any of the beavers feed piles and no recently used slides. Even the otter regurgitation was old. Not to say the ponds are a waste of time, but not the bounty I thought. Still, a couple of hours walking through here is very peacefull. Snowing here right now, so I’m waiting to take a later morning hike.

Any chance trapping the nearby creeks?
