Its getting to be that time to get things in order. Like every fall, everything happens at once and time is hard to come by.

So, who has their equipment ready to go already?

Not me! I still need to wax 3 dozen land traps, dye 6 dozen water traps,5 dozen stakes, boil cable restraints, and pray my wax dirt turns out. My last batch looks to have gotten some water before I could cover it up. I’ll be stocking up more gear this comming weekend in Marshfield.

mrjigger, you may or may not know this – ants naturally wax their dirt/sand for their mounds. If you find any huge ant hills and can tolerate a few ants – an easy way to get some waxed dirt when in a bind. I’ve got a few out in the land along my fence line and get into it as needed.

Bob, hope you get to cure that itchy finger. I prepped about 600 brass for my 22-250 this weekend. Daughters loading her .270s right now and I’ll start the production on charging and seating tonight. Didn’t realize I popped of nearly 700 rounds between June through Aug.

I was ready till last Wed. when limbs cracked on my bow. New bow should be at my parents place when I get home Thursday night. Quick scout/hunt with rifle Friday morning then hopefully get the bow dialed in for the rest of the hunt or may find something really big Friday morning and it will be all over with the rifle( I hope not).
