not a good start.

so yesterday was finally trapping opener here, and what a mess the water around here was a good 6 to 8 feet high every where. i set anyway. today all my traps were sitting high and dry about 2 feet out of water. what i bad day not a singal cacth today. its a real downer. but i will set tommrrow in hopes the water is going to stable out soon. hope to hear about others trappping lines…

Has anyone heard what prices they will be paying for hides this year?

I talked to the buyer at Wiebke Fur in Eitzen, MN and LaCrosse, WI. He said coon hides will be $10 for the BEST coon and a hard grade after that. He told us not to even keep the early coon or the smaller ones.

I hope it gets better.

I haven’t sold anything yet. Took a few out of an old building today that look pretty good. They’ll go XL to XXL and almost perfectly prime
