Anyone know somewhere in west central MN that I could rent a trap thrower? Trying to get together some pre-season practice with some friends and relatives. Last time, we rented one from Runnings in Montevideo, but they apparently no longer do that. We have a few hand throwers and “homeowner” throwers, but renting a “pro” version was nice!!!

Just out of curiosity, what did you pay for a rental last year?

I’ve noticed the price of the “consumer” version of the battery powered throwers has come way down over the past 10 years. I was thinking I might buy one of those instead of buying another spring loaded trap.

No leads, huh? We’re going to have sore shoulders from hand throwing, I guess.

You may be able to rent a nice thrower from the Caribou Gun Club, I know Randy (owner) is a pro matic dealer and sets up competitions but I he may rent them out also. We have purchased a couple of do all units from Cabelas but have had mixed results as they tend to break down fairly often. This winter we are planning on purchasing some nicer units as a group. Best of luck.

Thanks, guys. My sister-in-law found out that a coworker had a pretty decent thrower, and he ended up lending it to us. Fun was had!
