Transplanting asparagus

    Ive got a new 45 x 69 foot shop going in and dont have alot of time to invest in moving the asparagus. Got way under it with a trackhoe and got pretty much the whole spiderweb of roots out. Is it better to plant it deeper, or shallower when I move it.

    Try to get it at about the same depth. If anything I’d say maybe a hair deeper.

    If you need to get rid of the asparagus I would be happy to take some. Yum.

    Thanks guys. As dry as it is here, the dirt basically fell off the roots. Some of the root balls were as big as a beach ball.

    Just water them well when you transplant and you should be fine.
