Purchased new Helix 7 Chirp SI G2N, looking for thoughts on placement on transom, with existing HB 597 ci DownImage (don’t use DI) already on right side, and a Lowrance Elite 4x sonar only on left side…..2000 Sylvan ’14 Super Snapper transom…virtually flat transom bottom…tiller steer so fish off the left side of the boat…so can/should I put the Helix close to just offcenter to the left to cut down on blockage by motor centered (and fixed in tucked position usually), although there is an electric trolling motor on left as well (interference?). The Helix G2 has the smaller/shorter transducer so it should be forward of both motor and Electric by just a little. 597 Runs Navionics chip (which covers more Arkansas lakes), and Helix plan to get a HB lakemaster, for couple BIG key Arkansas lakes…..
I run the 597 and 4x with minimal interference with each othe, BUT what happens when I add the Helix????
Thoughts or other experience direction, before I start drilling holes.

Also, thoughts on Lakemaster versions for Helix, is the SMARTSTRIKE worth it over the Standard or Plus….in Arkansas now, so multispicies fisherman, bass, crappie, walleye.
