I am giving my old Chevy pickup to my nephew. I live in MN and the truck is registered in MN. He lives in WI. Do I go to a WI DMV to transfer the title to him? gonna be a sad day when I let her go. He is giving me a couple CI4’s in exchange.

I went through this process in ND so it will be different but in my case it was my Grandma gifting me my deceased grandpa’s pickup. Since it had to go between parent/sibling, she had to transfer title to my dad who in turn transferred the title to me… that was the only way to avoid paying sales tax on book value.
