Hello everyone, looking for some advice/help with interference from my older lowrance mark5x pro and my new humminbird 859cxi di. Mounted the transducers next to each other and it seems that the humminbird gose nuts after the boat gets shallow for a spell ( under 9 or 10 ft.). Lowrance seems to stay accurate but the 859 reads 500 to 1000 fow. Happends in all screens and seems to even happen with different hz levels. Anyone had a similar deal go on? If i turn the lowrance off and back on, it will be alright till i go shallow again. Relativley new to the 859, o ly been out with it a couple times. Any help would be appreciated!!

Welcome to the world of eletronics, unless you are running 1 transducer you will have the Black Rain problem.

I had a problem with my bird in shallow water but no other transducer on the boat. The di pictures would show correct depth but the readout would show much much deeper.

Thanks guys, had another friend ask a boat rigging pro about the issue. He recommended seperating the tranducer cables, remove any coiled exccess cable, change filter settings and if still an issue, install a resistor that humminbird makes on the power supply. Guess I’ve got some work to do.
