Transducer upgrade

    Hi, I have a Hummingbird helix 7 chirp mega si gps g3 and look fo a transducer upgrade. Any ideas? Thanks

    Can you explain more what you’re looking for? Didn’t your Helix 7 come with a side imaging transducer?

    You already should have the best transducer that HB offers.

    I move this unit around and tired of moving transducer. Other guys, with other brands, told me that there are transducers available that are better. They said they upgraded with there brand. I don’t know enough about fish finders to have an Educated opinion. On a recent offshore trip I asked captain about his, and he showed me 2 units he said were same with same settings, but different transducers and it was amazing. I think they were Simrad though.

    Probabaly simrad and he had a transducer with chirp and one without would be my guess.

    Airmar makes the top of the line transducers on the market. However, I find their website a little difficult to navigate. Be sitting down when you call them, they are pricey.
