Hello, i currently have the GT54 Transducer on my echomap ultra and i am wondering for those that have upgraded there transducer to the GT 56 if the side imaging picture is that much better? I am trying to make the decision to upgrade and need real life input, i have watched a few youtube videos on this topic also. Are there any discussions that you have heard on a new updated model coming out in the near future?

how long do you plan on keeping your Ultra? Do you use Livescope with it? I ask because the next version of Livescope (2.0?) will most likely require a new head unit series that will come with whatever the updated transducer is..GT-58?
In terms of GT54 vs GT56, yes there’s a difference (as you get the higher frequenzy) and the GT56 will show better, it’s upto you if the $300+ pricetag is worth it..
i do use live scope with it currently and plan on keeping if for a while. Do you know if the next version is a 2024 thing or later?
They would likely announce it at iCast in Vegas on July 11th. I would say either this year or next (I’m speculating based on how long the existing livescope has been on the market)… covid threw everything off a few years due to supply chain issues…
