Transducer Compatibility Question

    Hello,
I was wondering if anybody could help me answer this question I have. I received the new Ice Helix 5 Sonar/GPS unit and was wondering if my old transducer, the XHS-920-T that is currently mounted on the boat would work or if I would lose any functionality by not upgrading to the XNT-920-T?

    Thanks for the help,
    Mike

    I’m not finding an XNT-920-T; only the XNT 9 20 T, which is a dual beam non-si.

    XHS 9 HDSI 180 T | Transom Transducers | 710201-1
Dual/HD Side Imaging Transom, 20/60/180 Degree, 200/83/455/800 kHz with built in temperature. 20′ cable

    XNT 9 20 T | Transom Transducers | 710198-1
Single/Dual Beam, 20/60 Degree, 200/83 kHz, with built in temperature, 20′ Cable. More secure, especially at high force of waves. Improved running angle and an optional lock down screw to override the kick up.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I bought the boat and it had a 383C on it and the user manual says the transducer is a an XHS 9 20 T. It is probably a pretty old transducer they might not sell it anymore, I’m not sure.

Mike – I’m seeing some items on ebay that suggest the xhs for the 300 series and xnt are pretty much the same ducer. If it has the same connector and both are dual beam 2d, I’d guess it’ll work fine.

Transducers go bad over time. Always best to take the time to replace it with the new one.
