Looking to use my HDS7 (not touch screen) I think gen 2 (can I tell from the box??) It was purchased 4-5 years ago and I mounted it on my 21 footer and then blew the engine. I picked up an 18 footer in the fall and wanted to install it on this boat and use it on both boats…. I cannot tell by looking at the transducer on the bigger boat what type it is 50/200 or 83/200. It only says skimmer ….. I also need a duplicate power plug as the one with the transducer is mounted on the 21…. I will be running both boats and just want to get a 2nd transducer and power source. Are the plugs for all the HDS the same…. I am running in salt water, Long Island Sound and will be fishing 5 to 65 feet for the most part. I don’t plan on getting the side scan as tuning the radio to a good station is not easy for me…. Just want to find fish and mark them…. Thanks in advance…. Lowrance customer service had a long wait time with 37 people in front of me yesterday….it felt like the insurance commercial with grandma calling for me….

All HDS power cords are the same(blue connector) The part number for the power cable is PC-30-RS422 and then its up to you on the transducer. The 50/200 is a much bigger transducer then the 83/200. If only fishing up to 65′ then the 83/200 would be good enough but 50 is better in deeper water. The 83/200 is a HST-WSBL part#000-0106-72. The 50/200 is a HST-DFSBL part #000-0106-77.
