I have a 6.5 x 10 skid house. Looking for ideas on how everyone is loading/unloading quickly to make transporting it easier between lakes. Currently takes me 30 minutes to load and tie down. Unloading is an easy as I currently have a 22’ flatbed and winch the skid house in and back my 4 wheeler up to it, pull forward drop the hitch and drive off. Need an easier idea for loading. Interested in possibly a bigger trailer and a side by side.

And so, the toy hauler wheelhouse was born. You don’t need a giant one, I think IC still makes the Scout.

I have an 8′ X 12′ (with a 2′ v-nose so it is actually 14′) aluminum Ridgeline skid house and I have an electric boat winch on the front of an aluminum tilt trailer. I back up to the house, hook up the cable to the middle skid, push the button on the winch and up she goes.

Also…I had it built as a toy hauler with dual doors in the rear and the ceiling height of 8′ so I can drive an atv or snowmibile in it for transport.
