Trailer Bearings?

It’s been a few years since I’ve had a boat. A few questions:

    1) This is my first trailer with surge brakes. Is there anything different about servicing the bearings (e.g. do I have to remove calipers or anything else)?

    2) Is there a way to tell what size seals that I need prior to removing them, or do I just have to pull them off?

    3) Any recommendations for a good marine grease?

    Thanks. waytogo

    Depends on the brakes
Look up the trailer model and you can see what seal it takes
Grease will gave as many opinions as there are types of grease.

    ^^^ What he said.
I have no other advice for you as my trailer has oil bath bearings and I only need to deal with them once every 8 or more years.
The surge brake side, just keep the fluid up in the reservoir.

Not sure why I didn’t think of that. Duh. Thanks.
