Trail camera video downloads

I have a galaxy S7 and am unable to download videos taken from trail cameras. I have a Stealthcam memory card reader to view and download pictures, but it’s not working for videos. Any suggestions?

I believe I recall a discussion on this issue before on another forum. What is the extension, the .xxx after each file name for the video files on the Stealthcam?

If I recall correctly, some trail cams add a proprietary file extension for video files. Since the Galaxy and other phones don’t recognize this file extension as being a valid one they won’t download it.

I could be off base about this but I distinctly remember this type of issue coming up before.

I’m not sure but i know that i can’t even open them. They’re on the cards and I’m able to watch them via computer. I know that I can’t change the formatting when i plug in the Stealthcam card reader.
