Something I forgot to mention earlier: Having a Class A driver’s license (or even B) opens even more doors in the construction industry.
A lot of construction jobs are multifaceted. Having the ability and qualifications to drive are a huge plus. It’s obviously a nice fall-back option too (full time truck driving).
Every field employee at our company is required to have a commercial driver’s license (but most places don’t, so don’t fret).
For the record, I’m talking about REAL construction with REAL trucks, not some scab home remodeler with a rusty ladder rack on an S-10.
