I have one failing in my 2019 Chevy Silverado. Can I use one of the 4 extras that came with the vehicle when I bought it as part of the trailer towing package? Im hoping the batts are not depleted since they were just sitting in storage?
I have a sensor tool so reprogramming is a breeze.

I never got extra sensors with my 2019 or 2022

Interesting I’ve never heard of extra sensors either. I imagine you could. We stock a universal that works with most applications. So those were intended to go on a trailer so you could monitor those also?

RAM also has a tow package with the additional sensors. Yes, they are trained to each position on your trailer and monitored just like the vehicle tires air pressures. We have had to install and train a few.

Batteries on the extra TPMS are on and send info just sitting in a draw. I would just buy new, Weird you need one so soon, I have a 2015 and have yet to need a replacement. Best bet is Discount tire, I have been very happy with there service on my truck.

Huh ? You have a 2015 without issue, but he should buy a new one with 4 from a 2019 ? Seems backazzwards ?

I just programmed one of the spares successfully so I am using it.
The downside to programming it outside of the tire is a warning on the dash and two dire emails from GM indicating I have a flat tire! jester

If they work they work! Just replaced tpms sensors earlier this year for the first time ever on my 2009 malibu, not gonna lie that was impressive. Don’t care for them tbh but that light is annoying enough to my brain where I need to make it go away
