Ive been towing my WX2190 with a 2018 GMC Yukon. When im awake I usually use my 2006 Durango
I tow my Warrior 208 with a F150 with the 5.0. I get 11 to 13 mpg towing.
From a picture on another report it looks like James might have gotten a new Chevy Duramax to replace the last Dmax.
2014 dodge cummins and it don’t no its back there, but also looking at campers

Better upgrade that dream to the Denali and get the 6.2

Better get the towing mirrors, too. I got a 2018 loaner the other week, and the mirrors are worthless!!!
I tow my 14′ Alumacraft T14V with an 05′ Ford Focus. It’s about the same comparison, I suppose.

Now that is funny right there!! As far as towing, I use a 03 Ford Ranger with 4.0/Auto, 4:10/LS gears to tow my S-14 Lund. Don’t think it would work for a Skeeter.

Towed 14′ Alumacraft backtroller with 2.4l pt crusier for couple years.
I tow my WX2060 with a 2012 F150 supercrew/3.5l ecoboost. Added firestone load rite air bags. Pulls like a dream. And found out buy accident that if I run premium no ethenol I get 11-12mph instead of 8-10mph with regular 89 octane.

Serious question…with the significantly higher price of the premium per gallon, have you figured out if you’re saving any $$?
I tow with 5.0 F150 but since this is a Skeeter thread, I cannot say what I tow.
This summer premium was $2.94 a gallon. I don’t know if I saved any money but it was nice not having to run two pumps at the gas station.

GM recommends 91 octane for the 6.2.
I have a 2015 Tundra Crewmax to pull my WX2060. Mileage varies between 11 and 13 towing between the north metro and Walker.

Check around. The price difference on E87 reg and non E 91 varies widely. I have found it at 40 cents and sometimes it’s a $1 higher than regular. Cenex stations usually have a good price on Premium 91 non ethanol.
if I run up north on 29 to devils lake or LOTW at 75-80 MPH my 6.7 cummins only gets 10 -13 depending on wind, but its not shifting down all the time and I’m pulling a 2060 skeeter.

I have the 6.7 and can pull my dump trailer full loaded 15K lbs and barely feel it on the back. Shifts well. I’m pulling at 60 to 65 mph though.
75-80 now that’s just funny right there.
Because I’m pulling a boat. I think it’s because I’m getting old. The speed limit is 80 in areas?
interstate 80 in NE is 80 and I know its at least 75 through the Dakotas on 29, I’m 61 and we pull 30 head of cows on the interstate and all the 6.7 asks for is more fuel lol. I’m not trying to start anything but I have pickups with boats pass me on these interstates, I just allways keep newer tires on everything and stay off the phone
Geese, that’s flying. I suppose on a flat interstate and good driving conditions.
Staying off the phone would be the hard part for me.
I let the wife yak on the phone if I drive and I yak when she drives lol we just have such a long drive to fish up north and like to not waste so much time on the road, its 13 hrs to LOTW and that is stopping to fuel and eat on the go.we need to live closer to better fishing and that’s what we are looking at sinse I retired
WX2100 and 11′ Fleetwood Elkhorn camper with a 99 k3500 crewcab dually with the 454. Recently sold that and got a 06 Chevy LBZ Duramax 3500 crewcab dually. Haven’t pulled the full package together yet but from what I have observed so far it should roll very nice and be a lot quicker off the line. I believe I will actually be able to use the cruise control now.
I just got 11.5 pulling my wx2060 for the first time, 2015 Ford F150 supercrew 3.5L ECOBEAST. All 75mph hwy.
2014 Ram 1500 Hemi 3.92 gears and 8 speed. Towing my WX2190 I get 14-16mpg on the highway(60-64mph) average city/highway 13-14. I do have a lift and 35″ tires but also a custom tune and intake on it. As long as I am not bucking a big wind truck locks into 8th gear on the highway. The new 8 speed and 3.92 set up is awesome!
For a true comparison dad and I made a round trip both towing 2190’s from Grand Rapids to Grand Forks to Lake of the Woods. When we rolled into Baudette I averaged 13.5 and he was at 10.5. Lots of 70+mph and of course wind out there! He had a 13′ Ram 3.92 gears and 6 speed. He now has a new truck with 8 speed lol.
