    this has been confirmed with the WI-DNR

    3 fish limit per person (6-team) from 1st Sat. in July to 2nd Sun. in August

    I am speaking out of ignorance here but I doubt neither Wisconsin nor Minnesota can govern a limit on a Federal waterway like the Mississippi River. I’ll sit back and watch for some answers.

    Does Wisconsin ever cite \studies behind their regs or do they just go, “This sounds like a good idea. Done.” I’m not against protecting fisheries by any means but it’d be nice to hear some sound science behind some of this stuff. And I’m not affected by this particular rule so it’s nothing personal.

    They can and do make rules on federal waters. Just look at the pan fish rule on pools 5,5a,and8. 10 fish is the limit only on the MN side of the river.
