We had a record setting day on Mink-Somers Lake in Wright County on Sat 6/12.
15-Anglers with 72 Bass total 249.33# = 3.46# ave Bass.
Big Boat (2-anglers) 38.09#
Big Bass 5.00#
Has my personal best tourney 17.16# . Gotta learn to retie my line or use another brand when fishing Seinkos on 8# Trilene, had 2-large Bass breakoff (Never had breakoffs before like that, the line just above the hook).
Early we found them within casting distance of shore on Spinners, later we found them up tight to the bank where willows or other tress overhangs low to the water with Seinkos.
Some decent Pike in the Lake too. I had 7 in the 24″-36″ slot, most 25 1/2″-27″ with 1 @ 34.5″ Fat and thick.
Yes, the DNR Special Regulations are growing Big Fish in Mink-Somers.
We all got the Invaisive Species check and stickers too.
