Hello all.
I am brand new to this forum, but not to fishing.
My favorite kind of fishing would have to be
catching Northerns on a fly rod (yes, steel leader and all-
with 40.5″ my best so far).
But anyway,
I am looking for a fishing buddy/partner that lives close.
I live near Champaign IL and would like to hook up
with someone to go try some tournaments.
I’ve never entered a tournament before
but I do have a lifetime of gear and experience.
I have a couple dozen rods- ultralights to surfcasting,
#6/7 to #14 fly rods,line counter boat rods,
spiral eyed custom baitcaster rod with an ambassader,
10’crappie rod with a reel just to list a few.
I do have an 18′ Olympic Jon with a 30hp and 9.9hp 4strokes,
but not much to pull it with (just an older conversion van).
I don’t have a regular job, and my kids are grown.
I do take a few classes once in a while,
so I am real flexible about time/schedules.

Lets try some tournaments.
I’ll travel just about anywhere.
If you have alot of tournament experience how about
showing someone willing to pay their own way, the ropes.
I wouldn’t mind trying the pro-am tourneys.
The team tournys would be OK,
but thats al lot to ask for from someone that doesn’t know me.
