    The Red Wing walleye classic will be haveing there first annuall walleye tournament of the year may 15-16. I know this might be opener but it was the only time nobody else was having a tournament. 4-seasons sports and the Bluffs of Hager City are teaming up to have a awsome tournament. There are a great number of door prices and huge payouts this year. We are looking for 200 boat with a $200.00 dollar entry.

    11th:$700

    12th:$650

    50th:$1,000

    So even if you didn’t catch the fish you would have liked there still is a chance to win big.

    This sounds like a great event. Too bad it is the same weekend as the RCL League event on Big Stone.

    Sorry to hear that, I didn’t check with that one. I just didn’t want to bump head with any local tournament this year.

    Just got off the phone with the DNR seems like may is already full. The tournament will have to be in September. Im thinking the first weekend in September.

    Eric,

    The weekend of Sept 11 & 12 looks like the only weekend in September there is not another tourney scheduled in Minnesota. At least not at this point!

    Eric,

    Not sure if you have considered this. But it’s a lot easier to obtain a permit from Wisconsin. Have you thought about running your tourney out of Bay City or another WI location?

    I guess we would have to wait and see what the water level is. Im sure it is going to go up, but I tried duck hunting in Bay City this year and I got stuck in my jon boat. I will see what shooter from the bluffs thinks, and I will let you know.

    Just a heads up also that if you have the tournament in September, the DNR will not (or at least they haven’t in the past 3 years) allow a catch and release tournament until the 3rd weekend in September due to possible high water temperatures.

    Thanks for the info. I will be getting ahold of the dnr on Tuesday mourning and figure out some dates. I will let everyone know.
